KiD company has been working on silencing computers since 2000.

The version now available (KROTON-Silent) is the third generation of the product. We were testing different technical solutions, which supports cooling computer with the liquid: heat pipes, Peltier's modules. Each one of them, except the obvious advantages, had its defects. That is why we decided not to senter those solutions.

After vans' elimination, the hum generated by hard drive became our main problem. We tested notebook HDs, as well as the ones that were advertised as "ultra silent" by their manufacturers - but even the most quiet ones were generating certain noise (recorder's work).

Generally available special mounting forms and HD bodies don't make HD work unhearable too.

However, in the latest version of our Silent Computer - KROTON-Silent, we finally suceeded in eliminating that HD problem! Each one of the PC's we offer for sale is fully tested at rough conditions of temperature changes and 100% CPu power usage.
